Important Notification for Aspiring Applicants
If you’re planning to enroll in the NDOC01 program from 2017 onwards, here’s a crucial piece of information: starting from 2020, the Baccalaureus Technologiae program will no longer be available. It’s being replaced by qualifications aligned with the newly-implemented Higher Education Qualification Sub-Framework. Admission Requirements and Selection Criteria
For Applicants with a Senior Certificate (Pre-2008)
If you obtained your Senior Certificate before 2008, here are the admission requirements:
- A Senior Certificate or an equivalent qualification with a D symbol at Standard Grade for English.
- Recommended subjects: Biology or Physiology.
- Selection criteria: Applicants with a minimum M-score will be considered for admission until the program complement is full.
For Applicants with a National Senior Certificate (2008 Onwards)
For those with a National Senior Certificate obtained in 2008 or later, the admission requirements are as follows:
- A National Senior Certificate with a bachelor’s degree or a diploma endorsement, or an equivalent qualification.
- An achievement level of at least 3 for English (home language or first additional language).
- Recommended subject: Life Sciences.
- Selection criteria: To be considered, applicants must have an Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 18.
Course Duration and Presentation
The NDOC01 program spans three years and is presented through day classes, giving you the flexibility to study while pursuing your passion for sports.

Enrollments for this qualification are available in January only, so make sure to mark your calendar and plan accordingly.

Practical Coaching Experience
One of the standout features of this program is the practical coaching experience it offers. Students have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various sports at schools and clubs. Assessment for this practical component is conducted by the head coach of the school or club, as well as lecturers from TUT. A portfolio of competency will be created, and two hours of practical coaching sessions are scheduled each week.
