Admission Requirements

LEANER A (TVET College)

He/She starts at Level 2- Will be studying Electrical Infrastructure Construction
He/She progresses to Level 3
He/She progresses to Level 4
Every level the learner passes we issue them with a certificate

LEANER B (Conventional Schooling)

He/She will be in Grade 10- Will be studying Caps curriculum
He/She progress to Grade 11
He/She progresses to Grade 12
Each grade they pass they get a report

The above compares the two learners. The one at an TVET will be studying exactly what the industry is looking for and the one in conventional schooling will be studying generic curriculum which is not necessarily responsive to the industry. After both of them finishes their studies should a Job opportunity arises, the one who stands a better chance of getting employment, is the one who have studied through an TVET because he/she would have studied what would be relevant to the industry.

The same happens in a case where they both want to pursue the same course at a university or university of technology. There one who will have difficulty in their first year of tertiary will be the one who is from grade 12.

Vhembe TVET College Admission Requirements

Before applying to Vhembe TVET College, make sure to meet the necessary admission/entry requirements for the preferred course of study or vocation of choice. Grade 9 Certificate with a 50% pass in Mathematics for ( Engineering NCV Courses)
Grade 10 with 50% in Mathematics OR Grade 11 with 40% in Mathematics for (Engineering Nated Courses)
Grade 12 Certificate or equivelen (For Nated Courses)

NB: It is advised that all prospective student refrain from paying monies to anyone who presents themselves as admission guides or representatives of Vhembe TVET College to the end of assisting in Online Applications or Hard Copy Applications.
