Program Details:
- Schedule: Part-time course, with classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 18:00 to 21:00.
- Duration: The course is divided into two sessions, each lasting two months.
Who Should Enroll:
- Individuals planning to take the Installation Rules Paper 1 exams, as conducted by the Department of Education on behalf of the Department of Labour.
- Participants must possess all required codes and standards prior to the course.
Course Content:
- Extensive coverage of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Act 85 of 1993, including key sections and regulations.
- Comprehensive study of SANS 10142-1:2008, encompassing low voltage installations and various annexures.
- Detailed examination of SANS 10198 parts 1 and 2, focusing on electric power cables up to 33 kV.
- Insights into earthing of low-voltage distribution systems as per SANS 10292:2001.

- Basic theoretical knowledge in the electrical field.
- Possession of all required codes and standards (note: these are not included in the course fee).
