How to Register at UNISA Online 2025-2026

If you want to study through UNISA, you must accept or decline UNISA’s offer before you will be able to register online. All those who wish to register online at UNISA for the 2025-2026 academic year must follow the steps below:

  1. You should visit UNISA registration website at https://registration.unisa.ac.za
  2. Select your qualification level
  3. Then, you click on “GO” to begin your online registration
  4. Make sure you have your Student Number with you
  5. Enter the Student Number in the space provided
  6. If you do not have student number, you will not be able to continue, unless you apply online for admission where a student number will be created and sent to you through your email address you provided during the application process.
  7. Type in other information details as needed
  8. Verify your personal details on the screen. If there are changes or wrong information you need to make, do them before you proceed to the next option. You must provide accurate and valid cellphone number and email address. UNISA will communicate with you via these important details you give them and your application process can delay if your details are incorrect.
  9. Next, click on the modules from the drop-down list in which you would like to register.
  10. Make sure you qualify for the admission requirement for your chosen modules.
  11. You should not go beyond the prescribed number of modules per semester or year otherwise your registration process will be delay.
  12. Calculate your registration and study fees. Use this link: http://www.unisa.ac.za/feequote to obtain a quote for the cost of your modules. Please, remember the minimum fee that should be paid before submitting your registration for processing. If you cannot afford, remove modules until you can afford the fees.
  13. Submit your Registration after paying your online registration fee. Remember to keep a proof of payment in case of enquires.

What should I do after I have submitted my online registration?

You will obtain confirmation of your registration after some time has passed. While you are waiting, you should start studying towards your exams.

You must register on myUNISA, the University’s online student site, once you have obtained confirmation of your registration. From there, you can download your study materials, including your tutorial letters.

Register on myUNISA 2025-2026

If you have received a verification notice of your registration from UNISA, you must register on myUNISA, the school online student portal. Then you are not going to wait for your study material to be sent to you. You will then be able to download everything, including your tutorial letters, from myUNISA. Registering on myUNISA is one of the first things you are required to do once you have your student number.

Activate myLife E-mail Account: Register with UNISA Online 2025-2026

The University provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is your responsibility to activate your myLife e-mail account as soon as your registration has been finalised. Your myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university, and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.

All communication sent to you after the initial study pack (with the exception of study guides) will be sent to your myLife e-mail account (eg follow-up tutorial letters, examination timetables and results, financial statements, general communication). Other additional communication channels may be used from time-to-time, but the university will communicate with you primarily via your myLife e-mail account. Remember to always include your student number in the subject line when sending an e-mail to UNISA.
