ENROLMENT REQUIREMENTS

Inscape Design College Requirements , For admission to a Bachelor of Design:

National Senior Certificate with admission to a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

For admission to a Diploma:

National Senior Certificate with admission to a Diploma or equivalent.

For admission to a Higher Certificate:

National Senior Certificate with admission to a Higher Certificate and English as a subject.

For admission to Awards courses:

National Senior Certificate with English as a subject.

SPECIAL ADMISSIONS

We offer mature age exemption to Degrees, Diplomas and Higher Certificates as per HESA requirements.

Mature age exemption to Awards is considered on individual application. Students may be admitted via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Inscape Design College Requirements , Inscape Education Group (previously Inscape Design College), located in Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg in South Africa, is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution under the Higher Education Act of 1997. Inscape is the oldest privately owned, multi-disciplinary creative industries college in South Africa, having celebrated its 30th year of existence in 2011. Inscape offers 3-year Degree courses in interior design, fashion design and graphic design, 1-year Higher Certificate courses in architectural technology, fashion design and interior decorating as well as 10-month, part-time certificate courses in interior decorating, clothing design, architectural drafting, visual design, digital video and digital design as well as short courses of a week or less, full-time or part-time in Autodesk and Adobe programs.

Degree and Higher Certificate students attend two lecture sessions each weekday. Sixteen to twenty hours a week is spent in unsupervised practical and research work. Draughting, Clothing and Decorating students attend two or four lecture sessions per week. Six to eight hours a week is spent in unsupervised practical and research work. Several of the courses are also offered by distance education.
