The Golf 8 R also includes a new 4Motion all-wheel-drive system with R-Performance Torque Vectoring that is linked to the Vehicle Dynamics Manager (VDM), an electronic center and rear differential, and Adaptive Chassis Control to provide precise and agile dynamic handling.
In terms of performance, the Golf 8 R will accelerate from a standstill to 100 kph in 4.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kph. The claimed fuel consumption is 7.8 l/100km.
What features will be standard on the Volkswagen Golf 8 R?
Mobile inductive charging, a panoramic sunroof, Keyless Entry with safelock, an electronic tailgate and luggage compartment, as well as Volkswagen’s Discover Pro infotainment system with satellite navigation, Wireless App-Connect, and Voice Control, will be standard equipment on the VW Golf 8 R.
