Accepting an offer to study at UKZN
To ascertain the current status of your application, you can simply enter your personal ID, CAO, or UKZN student number into the designated field. You will encounter one of the following outcomes:
- Definite Offers:
- Offer extended without provision of residence or funding.
- Offer extended including residence accommodation.
- Offer extended excluding funding options.
- In-progress Statuses (Decision Pending):
- Application is currently under review (Pending).
- Placement on a waiting list (Waitlisted).
- Forwarded for further decision-making (Referred for decision).
- Awaiting receipt of academic records or additional documents (Awaiting documentation).
- Unsuccessful Outcomes (Regret Status):
- Failure to meet the admission criteria.
- Programme capacity reached (Programme is full).
- Offer lapsed due to non-acceptance within the allotted timeframe.
- Offer declined by the applicant.

B. Offer Acceptance Procedure
Follow these steps to accept an offer:
For undergraduate applicants, acceptance is facilitated online. You will be sent a link to the email address submitted with your application, and login credentials will be forwarded to your mobile phone via SMS. This grants access to the UKZN Student iEnabler, where you can affirm acceptance of your offer(s) and upload necessary documentation.
Please ensure that the Acceptance of Offer and Indemnity forms, available for download, are filled out and signed before submitting them along with any other requested documents.
