Mastercard Foundation Scholarships 2024-2025:
The University of Pretoria is offering postgraduate students the opportunity to apply for the Mastercard scholarship. This program is designed for academically gifted students facing financial constraints. It’s important to note that applicants should not already be recipients of any postgraduate degree.
The scholarships are available for the following postgraduate programs:
- Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences
- Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences
- Faculty of Humanities (for entry into the BPolSci in Political Studies or International Studies only)
- Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences
- Honours and Masters’s degree applications in the fields of Engineering (continuing students only)
Please note that there are no scholarships available for PhD courses.
Bursary Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for the scholarship:
- Must hold South African Citizenship.
- Must be in financial need and come from a disadvantaged background.
- Must possess leadership qualities and have an interest in contributing to the community through activities such as church or school involvement.
- Must demonstrate academic excellence and maintain strong academic performance.
