AGSA Bursary 2025-2026
The AGSA (Auditor-General South Africa) bursary is designed for students pursuing studies in Chartered Accountancy. Below are the detailed requirements and conditions for the bursary application:
General Requirements/Conditions:
- Field of Study: The bursary is exclusively for Chartered Accountancy studies. Eligible courses include BCom Accounting CA stream, Bachelor of Accounting CA stream, and BCompt.
- Study Mode: The bursary is for full-time studies at a university accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
- Coverage: The bursary covers tuition fees, university accommodation, meals, and books.
- Service Contract: Bursary holders must serve articles or enter into a training contract with AGSA upon completing their studies, as per the bursary contract.
- Citizenship: Only South African citizens are eligible.

- Over 60% in Financial Accounting.
- Pursuing the Chartered Accountancy program.
- Achieved 60% or above in Maths and English in Matric.

- Copy of ID.
- Matric results.
- Academic record.
2nd Year Students Applying for 3rd Year Studies:
- Academic Requirements:
- Over 60% in Financial Accounting.
- Over 60% in Management Accounting.
- Pursuing the Chartered Accountancy program.
- Required Documents:
- Copy of ID.
- Full academic record.
Final Year Students Applying for Postgraduate Studies:
- Academic Requirements:
- At least 55% in all core modules of the Chartered Accountancy program.
- Acceptance into the CTA (Certificate in the Theory of Accounting) program.

Application Process:
