Beauty Therapy ITEC Diploma Levels 2, 3 & 5:
Entry Level: The program starts at Level 2, accessible to those who have completed Grade 9. This ensures that the qualification is open to a wider range of students, including those who might not have completed higher levels of schooling.
Course Structure: The program spans three years and is designed to provide students with theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and integrated work experience both in college and the industry. This approach ensures that graduates are ready for employment upon completion of their studies.
Work Placement: An important feature of this program is the structured work placement component, allowing students to gain real-world experience in the beauty therapy field.
Skill Development: As students progress through each level (from Level 2 to Level 5), they acquire new skill sets and competencies, building on the knowledge and experience gained in the previous levels.
Admission Requirements:
- Academic:
- Grade 9 or equivalent for entry into Level 2.
- Passing ITEC Level 2 is required for entry into Level 3.
- Passing ITEC Level 3 is necessary for entry into Level 5.
- Personal and Physical:
- Candidates must meet the personality profile suitable for a Beauty Therapy student.
- Physical fitness is also a requirement.
- Assessment:
- Applicants must complete a competency test for literacy and numeracy.
- A placement test and an individual interview process are conducted to assess the suitability of candidates.
Course Duration and Enrollment:
The qualification takes 3 years to complete on a full-time basis.
Enrollment begins in January, with part-time options available.

The Beauty Therapy ITEC Diploma Levels 2, 3, & 5 is offered exclusively at the Wynberg Campus of the College of Cape Town.
