Civil Engineering and Geomatics Programs at DUT: Shaping the Future of Infrastructure and National Development
Civil Engineering Program Overview: The Civil Engineering program at DUT is meticulously designed to equip students with essential knowledge, skills, and understanding in civil engineering. This program aims to foster the ability to contribute significantly to the economy and national development. With post-qualification mentored work experience, graduates are groomed to become proficient civil engineering technologists. They develop the capability to apply engineering judgment independently and responsibly. This program also lays the foundational educational base for ECSA registration as a Professional Engineering Technologist.
Geomatics Program Overview: The Geomatics program focuses on imparting vital knowledge and skills in geomatics, preparing students to contribute effectively to the country’s economy, infrastructure, and development. The inclusion of post-qualification mentored work experience enables graduates to become skilled engineering surveying technologists. They learn to apply geomatics knowledge judiciously and operate both independently and responsibly. Additionally, this qualification is a stepping stone for students aiming for registration with SAGC as an engineering surveyor.
