Steps to Enroll at DUT:

  1. Course Identification: Review the available programmes in our Department Handbooks and choose the one that aligns with your career goals.
  2. Admission Requirements:
    • For South African applicants: A Senior Certificate or an equivalent recognized qualification is required.
    • Each department sets specific entrance criteria, including a National Senior Certificate (NSC) certified by Umalusi with a minimum of 4 recognized NSC 20-credit subjects, including English at a rating of 3 or better.
  3. International Applicants: Please refer to our International Brochure for detailed admission processes.
  4. Application Process:
    • Apply online through the Central Applications Office (CAO).
    • Complete the CAO application form, attaching certified copies of your identity document and your Grade 12 certificate (or latest Grade 11 results if you’re yet to write your final exams).
    • Ensure your application and the R200 non-refundable fee reach the CAO by the deadline, typically 31 October. Note that some programmes have earlier deadlines.
    • Remember, submitting an application doesn’t guarantee acceptance or registration. All applicants will be notified in writing about the outcome.
