A Brief History
The Institute of Commerceand Industry, today known as Ermelo Campus had as its Head J Joubert in 1979. The College became more business orientated and ten full-time secretarial students enrolled as the first full-time students.
On 01 January, 1980 the College moved to the Old Convent. In 1982 the College became autonomous. In 1984 the first computers were bought for the college. The buildings in Mel Mentz Street came into use in January 1985 and in the same year the college was upgraded to TK4. In 1994 the Klein Street Campus was acquired. The number of students enrolled in 1995 was 450. In January 1996 the Engineering Studies Campus was started at Thuthukani.
Mr Loots was appointed as Principal in 1997. The results of the Ermelo Campus have always been amongst the top five colleges in the country. During June 2004 their results were the best in the country
