How can I Make Money in South Africa

Making money in South Africa is not that hard. If you have a skill or talent, there are plenty of ways to make money by doing it.

Become a professional

Becoming a doctor or lawyer is another great way to make money in South Africa. These professions are highly sought-after and pay well, but they require a high level of education and training. In order to become a doctor, you need to complete at least 12 years of schooling. That’s not including the hundreds of thousands (or millions!) of dollars spent on medical school later on…

Becoming a lawyer requires even more schooling: four years at university followed by three years at law school. Lawyers also have to pass certain exams before they can practice as attorneys, so becoming one takes longer than becoming a doctor—and it’s also more expensive!

Besides having the right education and qualifications, doctors, and lawyers also need to be prepared for long hours and irregular shifts during their careers. If you’re willing to put up with these challenges, then this might be the career path for you!

Starting a business

  • Start a business you are passionate about.
  • Be creative and innovative in your idea.
  • Think of a business that is not already being done in South Africa.
  • Find a niche market you can dominate. The best way to do this is by studying what other people are already doing and seeing how you can make the same thing better or different enough to stand out from the crowd. This will make it easier for people to remember who you are when they need something similar, but better (or just different) than what they’ve seen before from someone else using the same service/product!

Buying shares in South African Companies

If you’re looking for a way to make money in South Africa, buying shares is definitely one of the best options.

Shares are basically fractions of companies that have been divided up and sold to investors. Once you own shares, you become part-owner of the company! This means that if the company does well and makes lots of money, you get rewarded with dividends. You can also sell your shares if you want and make more cash back from them—but only if they’ve gone up in value since then (don’t worry too much about this).

There are two types of stock markets: primary markets where new companies issue shares; and secondary markets where people buy or sell existing stocks. Both types are great ways to make money as an investor!

Renting out property or equipment that you own.

Renting out property or equipment that you own is a great way to make money in South Africa. If you have access to any of:

  • A house or land
  • Equipment, vehicles and machinery
  • Skilled labour (e.g., plumbers)
