How To Apply For A Disability Grant In South Africa

How to apply?

In the presence of an SASSA officer, fill out an application for a disability award at the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) office that is closest to you.

Send the following in:

Permit for refugee status and 13-digit refugee ID.

The “blue book” from the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) or, if you were formerly employed, your termination letter.

If your spouse passed away during the previous five years, please provide a copy of the will as well as the first and last liquidation and distribution accounts.

You will receive a receipt after submitting your application, which you should save as evidence of it.
