ABOUT THE COMPANY – MASTER BUILDERS KZN
Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal is an Employers’ Association representing more than 700 members in the Building and Construction Industry. Registered in terms of the Labour Relations Act, the Association serves its members’ interests and provides specialized support services to assist in the successful running of their businesses in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
The range of services offered to members includes training, occupational health and safety consulting, contractual and legal assistance, employee benefits schemes, member discounts, and more.
ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED, COVERAGE VALUE & SELECTION
Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal will award bursaries to students residing in KwaZulu-Natal who wish to pursue their studies in the Built Environment sector. The bursaries cover National Certificate, Diploma, Degree, Apprenticeship, or other related qualifications as approved by the Bursary Committee.
Bursaries are awarded for one year of study at a time and are renewable annually based on satisfactory academic progress.
The bursary covers tuition fees, books, accommodation in residence, travel, and other related expenses.
Successful candidates will be contacted by 28 February at the latest. If you haven’t received any feedback by this date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- South African citizen
- Reside within KwaZulu-Natal province
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Studying or intend to study full-time in a qualification related to the Built Environment sector
- Current University of Technology and University students must have passed all their subjects
- Studying or registered to study at a tertiary institution within KwaZulu-Natal
- Strong academic record
- Proven financial need
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BURSARY
To apply for the Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal bursary:
- Download and complete the Master Builders Bursary Application Form.
- Clearly state the field of study, year of study, and name and type of the tertiary institution where you plan to study.
- Submit clear copies of the required supporting documents along with your online application. These documents include your ID document, Matric certificate or final results (if completed Matric), full academic record to date (if currently studying), a progress report if no exams were written in 2020, proof of the highest qualification achieved, proof of acceptance to study at a recognized tertiary institution within KwaZulu-Natal, an invoice or quotation of fees for the study program (on tertiary letterhead), a motivational letter written by the student, a recommendation letter to support the application, a curriculum vitae, proof of parents/guardians’ household income, and proof of residential address.
Note: Final academic results must be submitted within 2 days after being received. Failure to do so will deem the application incomplete.
