North-West University’s Faculty of Law is dedicated to academic excellence and innovative teaching. Campuses and Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts with Law subjects (3 years): Offered at Potchefstroom and Vanderbijlpark Campuses.

Bachelor of Commerce with Law subjects (3 years): Available at Mahikeng, Potchefstroom, and Vanderbijlpark Campuses.

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) as a first degree (4 years): Offered at Mahikeng and Potchefstroom Campuses. This degree is also available as a second degree for students with a BA in Law or BCom in Law.

Extended Bachelor of Law (5 years): Available at the Mahikeng Campus. This program includes additional modules to bridge the gap between school and university, enhancing the skills needed for degree completion.

General Information for Applicants

Application Period: For Grade 12 learners, the application period is from March 1 to June 30.

Senior Students from Other Institutions: Applicants must have passed at least 60 credits in the same academic year at their previous institutions. A motivation letter and previous results should accompany online applications.

Aptitude Test: Required for all first law degrees.
