PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Bursaries:
PwC offers a bursary scheme for students pursuing a Chartered Accountant (CA) degree at a South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) accredited university.
The PwC CA program is open to students at all stages of their studies, including matriculation and those who have completed postgraduate education. After obtaining their certificate in accounting theory (CTA) or completing their honors degree, students can commence the PwC CA learnership.
PwC Bursary Requirements and Eligibility:
General requirements:
- Must study Pure Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and English.
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
- Active participation in extramural activities at school and/or university.
- Possess good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate determination and commitment.
- Exhibit strong leadership potential.
- Be a full-time student or intend to study towards a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification at SAICA-accredited institutions.
- Attained a minimum “B” symbol for Mathematics (NOT Mathematics Literacy) in Matric.
- Attained a minimum “B” symbol for English (first or second language) in Matric.
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 75% in Matric.
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 70% if currently in the 1st or 2nd year of study.
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% if currently in the 3rd year of study.
Students must also possess the following personal qualities:
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong business, technical, and digital skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to build relationships and work in a team.
