About PPS Foundation:
The Professional Provident Society (PPS) Foundation was established in 2016 with the primary goal of increasing involvement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields and contributing to the sustainable development of South African communities.
The PPS Foundation offers bursaries to financially deserving students who have demonstrated superior academic achievements in the fields of:
- Science
- Technology
- Engineering
- Mathematics
The company acknowledges the shortage of professionals in these critical sectors in the country and aims to provide opportunities to address this issue. Bursaries are also available for students in the Humanities field.
Bursary recipients are selected based on their academic performance and financial need. The bursaries are awarded from the first year of the degree program onwards.
The bursary covers expenses such as meals, textbooks, tuition fees, and university residence accommodation. Additionally, other resources are provided to shortlisted candidates to enhance their teaching and learning experience.
First-year students must attend contact support sessions held on campus by the PPS Foundation throughout the year. At the end of each year, students must submit their results for the renewal of scholarships for the next academic year.
The PPS Foundation bursary is paid directly to the institution, and continuation is subject to academic results submitted by the bursary holder.
PPS specifies the application criteria and reserves the right to change the criteria at any time without prior notice to applicants. The PPS Foundation also reserves the right to withdraw its financial aid if the bursary holder breaches any of the terms and conditions.
