Tokenized Stocks Poised to Hit $1 Trillion Market Cap as Global Demand Surges
Executives Say the Tokenization Boom Is Just Beginning, with US Equities Leading the Charge
Tokenized stocks could soon surpass $1 trillion in market capitalization, fueled by growing institutional demand and an expanding appetite for faster, cheaper access to U.S. equities.
Speaking at the TokenizeThis conference in New York on April 16, industry leaders emphasized that the market for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) is only just beginning to show its true potential.
“It’s definitely a trillion-dollar market in the making,” said Arnab Naskar, CEO of STOKR, during a panel discussion.
Institutional Interest Is Exploding
Anna Wroblewska, Chief Business Officer at Dinari, revealed that 2025 has seen an “enormous influx of demand” for tokenized stocks from a wide range of partners — Web3 wallets, neobanks, and even traditional finance players.
“It’s actually been really interesting. We’ve had demand from a much broader scope of potential partners than you might even imagine,” she said.
Currently, tokenized stocks account for about $350 million in cumulative market capitalization, according to RWA.xyz. While that’s just a fraction of the total $18 billion RWA market, Wroblewska believes this is just the beginning.
U.S. Equities: The Big Opportunity
The U.S. stock market, worth over $50 trillion, is a major target for tokenized asset innovation. With global investors seeking exposure to American markets, tokenization offers a path that is both efficient and cost-effective.
“There is a huge appetite for U.S. public equities… Tokenization makes it fast and cheap,” Wroblewska emphasized.
She also pointed to tokenized U.S. Treasury Bills, now totaling nearly $6 billion in market cap, as a strong indicator of how quickly demand is shifting.
In a bold move that may further legitimize the space, Coinbase is reportedly considering launching tokenized shares of its own stock on Base, its Ethereum layer-2 network.
The broader tokenized RWA market, according to Colin Butler of Movement Labs, could represent a $30 trillion opportunity globally.

“If the user experience is better, faster, and cheaper, people will default to tokenized assets.”
