A Note for New Applicants:
For those planning to start their journey with this qualification in 2017 or later, there’s an important update to keep in mind. Starting from 2020, you won’t be able to continue onto a Baccalaureus Technologiae program. The NDMS98 is being replaced by qualifications aligned with the new Higher Education Qualification Sub-Framework. For the most up-to-date information, always check the university’s website.
Admission Requirements:
The admission requirements for this program vary depending on your academic history.
For Applicants with a Senior Certificate Before 2008:
If you completed your Senior Certificate before 2008, you need a Senior Certificate or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, applicants must undergo a TUT potential assessment.
For Applicants with a National Senior Certificate in or After 2008:
If you obtained your National Senior Certificate in or after 2008, you’ll need a National Senior Certificate with a bachelor’s degree or a diploma endorsement, or an equivalent qualification with specific achievement levels in English and Mathematics. To be considered for this qualification, you must have an Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 20.
For Applicants with a National Certificate (Vocational):
If you have a National Certificate (Vocational) in fields like management, marketing, hospitality, tourism, and others, you need at least 50% in English and Mathematics (or Mathematical Literacy), 50% in Life Orientation (which is excluded for APS calculation), 60% in any three compulsory vocational subjects, and 50% in the fourth subject. To be considered for this qualification, applicants must have an Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 27.
Duration and Presentation:
The NDMS98 program spans three years and is presented through day classes. Notably, the subject Organisational Effectiveness III is offered in the form of evening classes.
Intake Timing:
Admission for this qualification is available in January only.
