Pre-requisite Modules: It is strongly recommended to complete HMEMS80 before registering for HRIOP84, HRIOP85, or HRIOP86.
Important Note: Students who have previously passed HRIOP81, HRIOP82, or HRIOP83 but not HPIOP81, HPIOP82, or HRIOP83 must register for HRIOP84, HRIOP85, or HRIOP86.

It focuses on developing research capacity in methodologies and techniques of a selected practice or specialization area.

It provides comprehensive knowledge in principles, major theories, methods, and technology of industrial and organisational psychology.
Successful completion allows graduates to meet competence requirements for registration as a Human Resources Practitioner with the South African Board for Personnel Practice (SABPP).

The qualification is presented via online and distance learning modes.
Registration Information:
Eligibility: Open to applicants who have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted it online.
For Re-registering Students: Registration is available for the 2023 academic year once the registration period opens.
For New Qualifications: Applicants should apply online during the prescribed application period.
Module Selection:
The qualification structure requires passing a specified number of NQF level credits within a set period.
Co-requisites and Pre-requisites: Certain modules have co-requisite or pre-requisite requirements.
Credit Limitations: A maximum of 60 credits per semester or 120 credits per academic year is allowed.
