Admissions Criteria:

  • A foundational bachelor’s degree or diploma in nursing, at NQF Level 6, from a recognized South African institution.
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience post-qualification and current employment in a healthcare setting.

Individuals with equivalent South African or international qualifications must apply for qualification recognition at least six months prior to enrollment. This involves an evaluation by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and submission of the assessment with the application. The University maintains discretion in assessing the relevance of qualifications and an applicant’s readiness for the program. Additional modules may be mandated based on the nature of prior qualifications.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be evaluated and selected by a specialized department committee.

The program spans one year.

Classes are structured in a block mode, distributed over two years.
