The Application Process

The process of becoming a lecturer at any university in South Africa is not an easy one. In order to be considered, you have to have at least five years of teaching experience, and the university must be willing to provide funding for your position. Additionally, all prospective lecturers will need a Master’s Degree and an excellent command of the English language. All candidates are also expected to complete an application form and submit three or four letters of reference that speak about their qualifications as teachers.
