Abey Mokgwatsane & ACA Bursary 2025-2026
About the Abey Mokgwatsane & ACA Bursary:
The Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA) is South Africa’s official representative body for the advertising and communications profession. Abey Mokgwatsane, former CEO of Ogilvy South Africa and current Managing Executive of Vodacom’s Brand, Communications, and Sponsorships, is awarding a bursary in honor of his late grandmother (the Nnete Modise Bursary). The bursary will be administered by the ACA and provides funding for a Marketing Degree at the AAA School of Advertising in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Coverage Value:
- Full tuition fees for the entire duration of the degree qualification.
- Accommodation expenses.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- Female
- Black
- Driven and dedicated
- Reside outside the main commercial centers of South Africa
- Unable to afford tertiary education
- Intend to study towards a Marketing Degree
- Intend to study at the AAA School of Advertising (at one of the Johannesburg or Cape Town campuses)

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation with your application (all documents are compulsory):
- Matric prelim results
- A motivational letter from the applicant describing their economic status
- A motivational letter from the applicant’s teacher (approximately 500 words)
- Proof of residence outside the main commercial centers
