Admission Guidelines

To embark on this academic journey at TUT, applicants must meet the following general prerequisites:

Performance Levels for Admission:

TUT presents a performance scale for entry into various levels of study:

  • 2 – Meritorious: 70 – 79%
  • 3 – Substantial: 60 – 69% (Degree level)
  • 4 – Adequate: 50 – 59% (Diploma level)
  • 5 – Moderate: 40 – 49% (Foundation course)
  • 6 – Elementary: 30 – 39%
  • 7 – Not Achieved: 0 – 29%

Mathematics vs. Mathematical Literacy:

Each prospective student must choose between Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, tailored to the requirements of their selected programme:

  • Mathematics: Essential for programmes that demand a foundational understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Mathematical Literacy: Suitable for other programmes where advanced mathematics is not a prerequisite.
