Absa invites students to apply for bursary funding for the 2024-2025 academic year. Each year, Absa awards bursaries to top-achieving students, allowing them to complete their studies without the worry of insufficient funding. Upon graduation, students may also be offered employment opportunities with Absa.

This year, bursaries will only be awarded for Bachelor’s Degree studies in the following fields:

Applicants should be South African and studying to complete a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Computer Science
  • Informatics, Information Technology
  • Data Science
  • Statistics
  • Analytics
  • Actuarial Sciences
  • Financial Mathematics
  • Engineering (industrial, financial, or process)
  • Other relevant Mathematical Sciences

How to Apply for the Absa Bursary:

Applications must be submitted online through the Absa Bursary Application.

Students need to “Sign Up” before they can “Login” and apply.

You may be required to submit clear copies of the following supporting documents along with your online application (compulsory for consideration):

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Full tertiary academic record (on the institution’s letterhead)
