The hand assembled power plant from Affalterbach features a twin-screw supercharger and dual intakes on either side of the engine. Approximately 1,600 C32 AMG’s were built for the 2002 model year. Following current DaimlerChrysler practice, the development engineers at AMG, now DaimlerChrysler’s own high-performance division, have chosen a volumetric supercharger with a boost pressure of 14.5 psi and driven by a multiple V-belt.
