More than 540,000 automobiles have been sold in South Africa this year, according to the most recent sales data available from the firm as of October 2014.
In October 2014, 59,384 cars were sold in total, a 4.7% increase from the 56,608 sold the year before.
According to sales, Toyota is the most popular automaker among South Africans so far in 2014, with the Toyota Hilux holding the top rank for particular cars.

Over 540,000 automobiles have been sold in South Africa so far this year, according to the group’s most recent sales data (October 2014). In comparison to October 2013 when 56,608 vehicles were sold, 59,384 vehicles were sold in total in October 2014.
Due to the slowing economy and rising loan rates, South Africa’s total new car sales in 2014 showed a slight year-over-year fall of 0.7%.
The amount of discretionary income in consumers’ pockets is a key concern for auto manufacturers. In fact, the union claims that’s the reason why the most recent statistics shows a decline in new vehicle sales. With 55,722 new car sales in August 2014, they were 1.4% lower than they were during the same month last year.
