Remote Pilot License Training (RPL)
Billed as one of the most exciting new additions to the Aviation industry, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, or commonly known as DRONES, will now become part of our lives as technology skyrockets !
Cranfield Aviation Training are proud to introduce our SACAA Accredited RPAS Ground School Training Program, for pilots looking to become qualified RPL license holders.
Equip yourself with the skills, license and knowledge base with our highly experienced instructors, and become an integral part of this groundbreaking industry, thereby joining scores of people already earning a living and doing what they love.
The first RPL – Remote Pilot License – theory course has been running since early 2016 with fantastic responses from our students. The duration of the course is 7 days, with the first 6 days being the vital RPL theoretical component, followed by day 7 which is dedicated to Radio License Certification and English Proficiency, as part of the mandatory requirements for licensing.
The Practical Instruction course is carried out from our CAA approved airfield – Serendipity – conveniently situated just outside Fourways

For pilots currently in possession of a valid manned Pilot License (NPL, PPL, CPL or ATP ) only days 1, 2 and 3 of the Theoretical Course are mandatory. As a result the applicable course cost will be R 5 400.00 excl VAT.
