Course Introduction:
The course covers various aspects of legal practices including office management, criminal law and law of procedures, commercial law, business law, and the debt collecting process.
Students also have the choice to select any two from wills and estate management, financial accounting 1, or property law and conveyance practice.
Programme Type:
This is a DCC Career Programme, not an accredited NQF qualification. However, it has been approved by the Damelin Correspondence College Academic Board.
Programme Duration:
The course can be completed within 24 months.
Entrance Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent, or relevant work experience (2 years).
Student Assessment:
Assignments are optional, but students are required to write and pass seven formal examinations.
Examinations are held in June and October/November each year.
Students must submit an examination entry form along with the prescribed examination fee before the closing date for the next examination.
The examination fee is not included in the tuition fee.
Certification:
Upon successful completion, students will receive a DCC Certificate in Paralegal Studies: Commercial Practice.
