Eligibility Criteria for the DEDEAT Bursary:

To be eligible for the DEDEAT Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be 35 years old or younger.
  • Must reside in the Eastern Cape.
  • Must demonstrate financial need, earning no more than R5,000 per annum.
  • Students who have completed Matric must have achieved a minimum overall “C” symbol.
  • Preference will be given to students from rural and impoverished areas.
