ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Ekurhuleni East TVET College (EEC) is located in five towns of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM). These are: Springs, Kwa-Thema, Daveyton, Benoni and Brakpan. There are however six college sites that are spreading across the five towns. These sites comprises of five campuses offering mainly NCV and Report 191 programmes while the sixth one is a centre of specialisation. The campuses offering NCV and Report 191 programmes comprise of Benoni Campus, Brakpan Campus, Daveyton Campus, Kwa-Thema Campus as well as Springs Campus. One and the only centre of Specialisation which was established in 2015 is called Artisan & Skills Development Centre which is situated in the industrial area of Springs town as well.

Directions

FROM PRETORIA

  • Take the Pretoria R21 (Albertina Sisulu Freeway) toward OR Tambo (JHB) International Airport.
  • Take the R25 (Birchleigh / Tembisa / Bronkhorstspruit) off-ramp.
  • Proceed straight, passing 2 sets of robots.
  • At the 3rd robot (T-junction), turn left.
  • Proceed straight until you reach a traffic circle.
  • At the traffic circle, take the 1st left (900m).
  • At the robot (T-junction) turn left.
  • Proceed straight (2.8km), passing 4 sets of robots.
  • At the 5th robot (Tembisa Plaza on your left), turn right.
  • Proceed straight (700m) to a 4-way stop. Turn left.
  • Drive for approximately 900m, passing one Stop sign.
  • At the 2nd 4-way stop, turn right.
  • Drive for approximately 300m, passing Tembisa West Secondary School. Just after the school, the entrance to Tembisa Campus will be on your right.

FROM JOHANNESBURG

  • Take the N1 to Midrand.
  • Take the Allandale off-ramp.
  • Turn right at the traffic lights and follow Allandale Road for 9km.
  • At the last set of robots (6th), turn left (M18 Tembisa).
  • Drive straight (3.8km) passing 4 robots and 2 garages.
  • At the the next robot, turn left (Tembisa Plaza on your right).
  • Same as highlighted.

There are no accommodation facilities for students at EWC’s campuses.
