Requirements

Employment Status: Must currently be unemployed.

Residency: Reside in the Western Cape for the duration of the course.

Citizenship: South African citizens only.

Educational Background: Grade 12 with an average of 50% for English. Biology and Natural Science are advantageous.

Mathematics Proficiency: Basic mathematics skills required and will be tested.

Language Proficiency: Must be fully conversant in English.

Prior Experience: Completion of a caregiver course at an accredited institution with at least 6 months of post-qualification experience.

How to Register/Apply

  1. Complete the Application Form:
    • The form can be filled out online or printed and sent via email or postal service.
    • Eligible candidates will be invited to a Selection Test.
  2. Write the Selection Test:
    • Required Documents: Bring 2 certified copies each of your Identification Document, Grade 12 qualification, and Statement of Symbols, and a handling fee of R200.00.
    • Test Requirements: All relevant documents must be presented to sit for the test.
    • Passing Criteria: A score of 75% is required to proceed to the next step.
    • Post-Test: Successful candidates will be invited to a Selection Interview.
  3. Attend the Selection Interview:
    • Placement Offer: Successful completion of the interview may lead to a course placement offer.
    • Reporting: Report to the Helderberg Training Centre (address provided below) on the specified date at 07:30 with all required documentation and the handling fee.
