Water scarcity is a problem that has been affecting South Africa for many years now. The country has the world’s largest population living in areas of high water stress, with over 40% of the population living in areas where there is less than 500m3 of water per person per year. We can save water by reducing our consumption and conserving it more efficiently. We should use less water when brushing our teeth and we should also use less when cooking, as well as taking shorter showers.
