Bring your legitimate ID, the receiver’s details (including their legal name as it appears on their ID), and the money you wish to transfer. How does MoneyGram work for money transfers?
After the transfer is submitted and successfully completed, the funds are normally sent to the account. The credit will be added to the receiver’s mobile wallet account associated with the sender’s mobile number. MoneyGram agent locations and online transfers to mobile wallets are both available.
Is a bank account required to receive MoneyGram?
MoneyGram allows you to send money between continents and have it available within 10 minutes*. Furthermore, no bank account is required, and the funds can be sent directly into a digital wallet.
What documentation is necessary to pick up money from MoneyGram?
ID: You must bring a valid photo ID (passport, national ID, or residence permit) and may be required to give address evidence (bank statement or utility bill).
What is the highest amount of money you may send with MoneyGram?
Your transfer is limited to $10,000 per transaction when sending money online with MoneyGram. There is also a monthly restriction of $10,000. If you need to send more money, you can do so in person at any MoneyGram agent location.
How long can money be held in MoneyGram before being picked up?
If you instruct us to perform a Transfer to an individual Receiver for cash collection at a MoneyGram Location and the Transfer Amount is not collected within ninety (90) days, we will consider the Transfer to be no longer capable of execution (an “Expired Transfer”).
