We asked 10 cleaning companies in South Africa how much they charge per hour, and how many hours it takes to clean a 3-bedroom house. This price included the chemicals and basic equipment. We also asked them if they had any specials on right now.
- Cleaning Company 1: R900 (€60) for 5 hours of cleaning. This includes chemicals, but not equipment like rags or rubber gloves.
- Cleaning company 2: R1 200 (€80) for 5 hours of cleaning, which includes chemicals but not equipment like rags or rubber gloves.
- Cleaning Company 3: R750 (€55) for 4 hours of cleaning, with no additional costs for chemicals or equipment such as sponges or rubber gloves
- Cleaning Company 4: R1 500 (€85), including all equipment like sponges and rubber gloves as well as their standard chemicals
How much do you charge per hour?
The average rate is between R50 – R100 / hour but this can vary depending on the size of your home and the task being done. Some companies may charge more or less depending on what they are offering.
