Let’s first examine what a disability grant is. A disability grant is a type of social assistance designed to meet the basic requirements of individuals (those who are over 18 years old) who are unable to work because of a physical or mental impairment. The candidate shouldn’t have declined to receive therapy or to perform work that they are capable of performing.
You can apply for a disability award if your physical or mental condition renders you unable to work for more than six months. If your handicap will stay more than a year, you will get a permanent disability payment; if it will persist for a continuous period of between six and twelve months, you will receive a temporary disability grant. A permanent disability award indicates that it will continue for more than a year but does not imply that you will always get it.
