How Much is Laser Tattoo Removal in South Africa?

The Cost of Laser Tattoo removal in South Africa

How much does a tattoo removal laser machine cost?

The cost of lasers can vary greatly. A tattoo removal machine can cost anywhere from $100-$200,000. This is determined by the quality of the laser.

Is laser tattoo removal painful?

Not really. Although laser tattoo removal can hurt, chances are it won’t hurt as much as getting the tattoo did. Tattoo removal pain is comparable to the pain of a bad sunburn, and the laser pulses feel like a rubber band snapping against your skin. Cringe-worthy, yes, but tolerable.

What are the side effects of laser tattoo removal?

The following are  possible side effects:

  • The tattoo removal site can become infected.
  • There is a slight chance that the treatment can leave a permanent scar.
  • Some degree of skin discoloration is possible.
  • Cosmetic tattoos, such as lip liner, eyeliner and eyebrows may get darker after initial laser treatments.

How can I remove a tattoo at home?

A tattoo removal  is not all that different from getting a tattoo in the first place. This implies that there is more than one way to do it and no matter which method you decide on, it will definitely leave a mark. Talking about  different methods, are you aware that some people remove their tattoos at home, or at least try to? Before you attempt to go all DIY on tattoo removal, please consult with a doctor and consider your options. However, if you have decided to use a home remedy, the following are procedures you can use:

  • Salt and lemon juice. Mix 100g of salt with a little lemon juice to form a thick paste. Soak a cotton pad in the mixture and apply it to the tattoo for 30 minutes or more. Rinse using warm water.
  • Aloe vera, salt, honey, and yoghurt. Mix 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel, 2 tablespoons of salt, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 2 tablespoons of yoghurt. Apply to your tattoo and soak for a minimum of 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
  • Table salt. Apply table salt to a moist gauze sponge and sand down your skin for about 30-40 minutes, until the area turns dark red. Next, apply antibiotic ointment and cover the area for 3 days. After a week’s time, you can peel the top layer of skin off, thereby chipping away at the tattoo. You might have to perform this ritual a few times and if you do, wait at least 6-8 weeks before the next treatment. Please be advised that there’s a good chance you’ll experience scarring or infection. There’s also a good chance that you’re an idiot, hence your willingness to employ this method in the first place.

  • Homemade tattoo removal cream. Combine 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel, 2 capsules of vitamin E, and 1 tablespoon of the gel created by Paederia Tomentosa leaves. Mix and apply to the area, soaking it for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Repeat 4 times a day for 1 week or more.

Is there tattoo removal cream?

Bear in mind that tattoo removal creams do not  actually remove tattoos. Instead, the tattoo removal creams can fade and re-color the skin around the tattoo to make the artwork less visible. If you want genuine removal, you’ll need to shell out for (and suffer through) laser or surgical tattoo removal.
