Charting Your Course: Eligibility Criteria

Ensure you meet the criteria before embarking on your application journey:

  • South African citizenship
  • Matric completion in 2022 or earlier
  • Age group of 18-35 for unemployed applicants; no age restrictions for employed applicants
  • Enrollment or intention to enroll in a South African tertiary university

  1. Download and Complete the Application Form: Access the INSETA ISSF Bursary Application Form 2026-2027 and fill it out meticulously.
  2. Submit Your Application: Email your completed application form to issfstudent2026-2027@inseta.org.za. In the subject line, write “INSETA ISSF Bursary Application.”

Required Documents: Stay on Track

Along with your application form, submit these essential documents:

  • Certified copy of your ID
  • Certified copy of Matric results
  • ISSF POPIA form (PDF)
  • If employed, letter of employment
  • Course quotation on institution’s letterhead
  • Most recent academic record on institution’s letterhead
  • Registration proof from institution on their letterhead
  • Certified copy of household income, death certificates (if applicable), bank statements, and SASSA letter (if receiving a grant)

Destination Ahead: Closing Date

Mark 15th January 2026-2027 as the closing date for applications. After this date, no applications will be considered.
