What kind of meat is abalone?

A huge marine gastropod mollusk, abalone is pronounced “ab-ah-LOW-nee.” The chilly waters of New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Japan, and the west coast of North America are where the huge sea snail is most frequently observed.
