GRADE 8 & 9
GENERAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (GET)

In the GET phase the following subjects are compulsory:

  • LLC (English and Afrikaans)
  • MLMMS (Maths and Mathematical Studies)
  • Natural Science
  • Social Science
  • Life Orientation
  • Economic Management Science
  • Arts and Culture
  • Technology

GRADE 10, 11 and 12
FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING (FET)

In order to obtain the NSC (National Senior Certificate) a learner must have offered and completed the internal and external assessment requirements in no fewer than seven (7) subjects as offered by this school.

This school is equipped and staffed to offer the Engineering and Technology or Services Learning Fields.
There are though limitations as to the number of learners who will be able to be accommodated in certain subjects.

 

In the FET phase the following subjects are compulsory for ALL learners irrespective of the Learning Field to befollowed:

  1. English on Home Language level;
  2. Afrikaans on First Additional Language level;
  3. Mathematics; (Not Maths Literacy)
  4. Life Orientation.

In addition to these subjects the following three subjects will be offered under the two Learning Field umbrellas:

ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
Physical Sciences 
Engineering Graphics and Design
Accounting
Hospitality StudiesBusiness Studies

A choice of one of the following subjects:
Civil Technology or
Electrical Technology or
Mechanical Technology

A learner doing Engineering and Technology course must take Physical Science and Engineering Graphics and Design at this school coupled with this a choice of one of the three listed subjects.

A learner doing the Services course will take the subjects listed above (Accounting, Business Studies, Hospitality Studies) at this school.
