The Povey Centre for English Studies strives to further and foster Prof John Povey’s vision of wide acess to English language skills and of the research. The centre aims to be inclusive and supportive of a community of learners, which, in turn, must be sustained and inspired by its efforts to integrate and affirm second-language speakers of English in particular.
