During the online registration process, you will be asked to provide your email address for correspondence from the University. You are encouraged to supply your NWU Gmail email address. Your NWU Gmail email address is: studentnumber@student.g.nwu.ac.za (e.g. 12345678@student.g.nwu.ac.za)

Registration information
The North-West University (NWU) offers a straightforward and hassle-free registration process for prospective undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate program students for the 2024 academic year. Here’s a guide on how to complete this process.
Steps for NWU Online Registration 2024-2025
Step 1: Accessing the Portal
Visit NWU’s registration portal.
Log in using your student number and password.
If you don’t have a password, select “Create a Password.”
Click on “ITS iENABLER” under administrative utilities.
For instructions on each option, click on the blue question mark.
Step 3: New Qualification Registration
Click on “Registration” to initiate the process.
Follow the steps listed, verifying personal, contact, and address details.
Read and accept the Academic Registration Rules/Agreement.
Click “Submit Registration” and enter qualification information.
Select and verify modules, then continue.
Step 4: Payment and Confirmation
Confirm your registration cost and select “Make Payment.”
Enter payment details and complete the transaction.
Click on “Registration” and either accept the registration to view proof or email a copy to yourself.
Step 5: Orientation and Module Access
Log out and return to the main portal tab.
Access the “Online Orientation” module to familiarize yourself with the online learning environment.
Access your registered modules for study materials a week before the start date.
Official participation in activities and assignments begins on the module start date (Monday).
