Roedean School Bursaries In collaboration with the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation and the Student Scholarship Programme (SSP), Roedean School offers four to five merit bursaries annually for pupils entering Grade 8. These bursaries are awarded to students who excel academically and show potential to contribute in various areas of the school.

Application Process: Candidates apply through the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation and SSP. Recommended candidates are then interviewed by Roedean School.

Background: Roedean School (SA) – Junior School is a selective, independent, Christian, English-medium girls’ school and a member of ISASA. The school encourages applications from girls of diverse races, religions, social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.

Entry into Roedean Junior School

Grade 0 Admission: Girls typically enter the Junior School in Grade 0 in the calendar year they turn 6, having reached their 5th birthday.
Vacancies: Occasional vacancies may arise in other classes during the year.
Priority Admission: Priority is given to siblings of current pupils, past pupils, and daughters of old girls, though they must meet the same standards as other applicants.
Staff Members’ Daughters: They are subject to the same selection process and assessment criteria as other candidates.
