About the Sage Bursary Program:
Sage South Africa is pleased to offer external bursaries for the 2024-2025 academic year, with a focus on supporting undergraduate degree studies in the following fields:
- Accounting and Finance (BCom)
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
In addition, this bursary program is open to students with disabilities pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in any field of study. Sage South Africa’s goal is to provide financial support for the education of previously disadvantaged youth and youth with disabilities, helping them pursue their university studies.
Expenses Covered:
The Sage bursary will cover various expenses, up to a predetermined maximum amount. These expenses include tuition fees, stationery, books, and accommodation, whether in a university residence or private housing. The bursary will also address current fees and outstanding student debt.
Eligibility Requirements for the Sage Bursary:
To be eligible for the Sage bursary, applicants must meet specific minimum criteria, including:
- South African citizenship
- Status as a previously disadvantaged individual (PDI)
- Current enrollment in Matric or completion of Matric
- Intention to pursue or continuation of an undergraduate qualification in one of the specified fields during the 2024-2025 academic year (from first to final year)
- Admission or acceptance to a recognized and accredited public tertiary institution in South Africa
- For current Matric students: Achievement of a minimum result of 75% for Mathematics and Physical Science
- For current university students: Consistently achieved a minimum overall average of 65%
- For students with disabilities: Pursuit or intention to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any field
- Total household income between R350,000 and R500,000 per annum (applicants with household incomes less than R350,000 per annum must have applied for NSFAS funding; if the NSFAS application was unsuccessful, they may apply for this bursary)
- Preference given to students with disabilities
How to Apply for the Sage Bursary:
Prospective applicants are required to complete an online application through the Sage Bursary Application 2024-2025 portal. During the application process, applicants should specify that they learned about the Sage bursary from “Uni24.co.za.”

Applicants must ensure the submission of clear copies of the specified supporting documentation along with their online application. Failure to provide these documents may result in disqualification.
Closing Date for the Sage Bursary:
All applications must be submitted by September 30. Applicants are advised to submit their applications well in advance of this closing date to ensure that they are considered.
