ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDER – TISO FOUNDATION
The Tiso Foundation is a Public Benefit Organization established in 2001, dedicated to providing bursaries, scholarships, and awards for research and teaching. The foundation aims to support excellent black youth in pursuing their Master’s studies, offering opportunities for higher postgraduate qualifications.
ABOUT THE TISO FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
The Tiso Foundation is offering a Masters Scholarship for the academic year. The scholarship is open to students pursuing a Masters programme in ANY field.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TISO FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria to be eligible for the scholarship:
- South African citizen
- Between the ages of 18 and 35
- Black as per BBBEE (Black, Coloured, or Indian)
- Completed an Honours or MTech qualification
- Registered or provisionally accepted to study full-time towards a Masters programme in ANY field
- Studying at a registered South African University or University of Technology
- Minimum overall average of 70% in Matric
- Minimum overall average of 65% in the latest tertiary academic results
- Unemployed and in financial need
- Able to provide references with the application
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE TISO FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
To apply for the Tiso Foundation Masters Scholarship, follow these steps:
- Complete the online application form at the Tiso Foundation Scholarship Application .
- Provide clear copies of the required supporting documentation, including ID document, degree certificates (maximum of 3), university transcripts (maximum of 3), academic reference, employment reference (or academic reference if no work experience), and endorsement from your supervisor.
- Enter “https://uni24.co.za/” in the field asking how you heard about the Tiso Foundation Masters Scholarship.
CLOSING DATE FOR THE TISO FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The closing date for the scholarship application is 30 November. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.
