Top Trump Memecoin Holders Invited to Exclusive Dinner as Token Soars 52%
President Donald Trump to Host Private Event for TRUMP Token Investors Amid Controversy
In a surprising twist blending politics and crypto, U.S. President Donald Trump is inviting the top holders of his TRUMP memecoin to a private dinner on May 22 at his Washington, D.C. golf club—a move that has reignited debates over transparency and national security.
According to the official TRUMP token website, the event will welcome the top 220 tokenholders, provided they pass a background check. Attendees must not be from a “Know Your Customer” (KYC) watchlist country and are prohibited from bringing guests.
TRUMP Token Price Spikes 52% After Dinner Announcement
The price of the controversial TRUMP token surged 52% following news of the dinner, jumping from $9.30 to $14.20. Since its launch on January 17, the token briefly reached a $15 billion market cap before losing over half its value by January 20.
Despite its market swings, interest in the token remains high, especially after this dinner invitation surfaced.
“This kind of access to a sitting U.S. president through a cryptocurrency is unprecedented,” remarked one analyst. “But it also raises serious ethical and legal questions.”
Unmasking the Big Players Behind TRUMP
While the event may reveal some of the memecoin’s most significant backers, the identities of most top holders are still shrouded in secrecy. Complicating the matter, the project team reportedly controls 80% of the total token supply, fueling concerns about centralization and manipulation.

Critics argue that such arrangements could provide foreign interests a direct line to U.S. political influence, potentially bypassing federal campaign finance laws and traditional transparency protocols.
“There’s a very real risk here,” warned one lawmaker. “This could be a backdoor for international players to influence U.S. politics.”
Melania’s Token Tanks, Team Moves Millions
Just two days after the TRUMP coin launched, Melania Trump introduced her MELANIA memecoin. Though initially mirroring her husband’s token momentum, it has since plummeted more than 90% from its peak of $13.73. Blockchain data shows the project’s team moved approximately $30 million in community funds during April.
Trump’s Crypto Pivot: From Critic to Crypto Campaigner
In 2019, then-President Trump dismissed crypto, calling Bitcoin “a scam.” But in a dramatic reversal, he has since embraced digital assets, releasing NFT collections, accepting crypto donations, and making appearances at blockchain conferences.
Share ThisIn 2024, Trump held a similar dinner in Florida for supporters who bought his “mugshot” NFTs. Whether those same individuals will be attending the upcoming memecoin dinner remains unknown.
