The Baccalaureus Technologiae: Quality at TUT’s Arcadia Campus is a prestigious program that, as of 2020, will not accept new applications due to the implementation of the Higher Education Qualification Sub-Framework. Prospective students are encouraged to consult the TUT website for updated qualifications.
Admission Requirements:
- Applicants must have an NQF Level 6 bachelor’s degree or diploma from a South African university.
- Equivalent South African or international qualifications are considered with prior SAQA evaluation.
- Proof of English proficiency might be required.
- Additional completion of subjects may be required for certain equivalent qualifications.
Selection Criteria:
- Selection is determined by a departmental panel assessment.
- Recommended subjects include Computer Skills I and either Mathematics I, Qualitative Techniques I, Quantitative Techniques I, or Statistics I.
Program Duration and Structure:
- Minimum duration is one year.
- Program is presented in block-mode classes over two years.
- Intake for this qualification is in January only.
- The curriculum consists of six subjects and a research project, Project IV.
- Students must submit an article for publication consideration based on their project.
