TUT Residence Accommodation Application Process

For First-Year Students:

  • Indicate the need for residence accommodation on the official TUT admission application form.
  • Selection is based on unconditional acceptance for a full-time academic qualification at TUT.
  • In the event of high demand, selection priority is given based on the date of unconditional acceptance by the faculty.

For Returning Senior Students:

  • Apply for next year’s residence accommodation before the end of October via the online process.
  • Access the Residence Application through the Student iEnabler accounts or directly at TUT Residence Application.
  • Applications must comply with the criteria outlined in the placement policy:
    • A minimum academic average of 50% (55% for senior residences) for the full academic year or passing of all semester and year courses.
    • Not exceeding the maximum residence duration at TUT, which is the minimum academic years to complete a qualification plus one additional year.
    • Registration for a minimum of two subjects (excluding non-degree subjects).
    • Settlement of all outstanding fees or arrangements made with TUT Student Finance.

For Other Students:

  • Apply online at the beginning of the year for which accommodation is needed, after academic registration.
  • Applications considered after registration of returning senior students and first-year students.
  • Selection based on the same criteria as returning students and on a first-come-first-served basis.

It’s important for all students to adhere to these guidelines and timelines to secure residence accommodation at TUT.
